The band Birch Riley consists of 4 hard working and innovated guys driven to make fresh music and put on an awesome live show. Original progressive themes with solid changes and edgy flavor are the staples of Birch Riley's tunes.
The band's christening was in the spring of 2000 as a trio and they have since released a full length CD, EP and toured the U.S. in 2002. The band then went on hiatus in 2004 until 2006 when Wes Hlebichuk teamed up with Steve Martin, ex-drummer of the band Davis who also played with Birch Riley for a short time in 2003. Birch Riley then brought back original bass player Shawn Thompson and added shredder Steve Pitzer on lead Guitar to make music which will grab anyone, especially at a live show! A new EP is ready and a full length CD is in the works.
